Conventional Building

Often referred to as stick building or platform building, because of the small members of the frame and the method of building successive layers one atop the other. Conventional construction finds a place in our work where we must bring elements of modern engineering in to assist in the efficiency and affordability of construction. Construction of lean-tos and ground floor frame systems as well as the roof framing on many antique cabins are the typical areas where we will consider the use of conventional framing.

When deciding what portions of our projects should rely on conventional products we work closely with our clients to inform their decisions so as to provide the best amalgamation of responsible building, the impact the finished structure has on the quality of occupant health and the ability to maintain and preserve the structure for future use.

We invite inquiries regarding sustainable conventional building and look forward to providing consultation services that will result in a home built with the occupants as well as earth’s health as the focus.
